Purge vent and gas monitoring port designed for use with General Air Products Fire Protection Nitrogen Generators. The purge vent will bleed oxygen from the sprinkler piping, during the nitrogen fill process, allowing for fast and equal distribution of high purity nitrogen throughout the system. The Purge Valve is engineered to maintain sufficient system pressure while operating and comes equipped with a float valve for automatic shut off in case the purge valve is left open during a system trip. A sampling port with quick connect plug is also included for easy attachment of the portable nitrogen analyzer. When installed at the end of the piping network, the Purge Valve provides a simple and reliable way to remove oxygen and monitor the nitrogen purity throughout the entire fire sprinkler system. The purge valve is available in both manual & automatic configurations. The NGP-APV comes with a battery operated valve that will automatically close after 2 weeks, eliminating the need to return to the job site.
